Dawn Walters
Singing
Dawn has been a vocal coach in the Conejo Valley for the past 11 yrs. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theater from the Boston Conservatory of Music.
Dawn began her professional singing and acting career 19 yrs. ago. She has studied voice with some of the top teachers in Los Angeles, Boston and New York. She has done professional studio work, commercials, T.V., sang on cruise ships and even sung with Marvin Hamlisch at the Wang Center in Boston. She has also directed over 10 children's theater productions. Most recently in her own community she was seen as Glinda the Good Witch in the WIZARD OF OZ at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
As a Vocal Coach she has taught children from all over the Conejo Valley and San Fernando Valley. She has worked with Television kids, Broadway kids and kids who just want to improve their voices and have fun. Some of her young students are regulars singing the National Anthem at the Dodgers, Kings and Lakers games. Her studio teaches and promotes proper, healthy vocal technique, confidence, performance skills, audition skills, microphone technique and acting work all incorporated into "audition ready" material. Working as a vocal coach is one of the MOST rewarding jobs she has ever done, and she loves watching her students improve and perform.
